Development Director for our client, an incredible humanitarian nonprofit organization in Boston, Massachusetts! This exceptional role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful fundraising initiatives for an organization that provides life-changing support and empowerment programs. You'll work with passionate supporters and staff who are dedicated to making a real impact through their vital mission. This is a full-time, direct hire position for immediate hire that works
remote with regional travel opportunities throughout New England!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives and achieve ambitious fundraising targets across the New England region
- Build and nurture long-term donor relationships through strategic cultivation activities, personalized communications, and meaningful engagement experiences
- Drive prospect research and development efforts, particularly focusing on expansion opportunities in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Central/Western Massachusetts markets
- Partner with Executive Director to identify and penetrate new fundraising territories and donor segments
- Lead volunteer engagement strategies and coordinate community-based fundraising committees for targeted donor constituencies
- Oversee comprehensive event management from conception through execution for multiple fundraising activities throughout the region
- Enhance institutional giving portfolio through grant writing, foundation relationship management, and reporting processes
- Maintain flexible schedule to support mission-critical evening and weekend programming initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in development work, donor relations, and special events coordination
- Proven track record of building lasting partnerships with individual donors, foundations, and community stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- Outstanding interpersonal communication abilities with strong presentation and writing skills
- Exceptional organizational capabilities and experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated professional who thrives in collaborative, deadline-driven environments
- Unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical fundraising practices
- Advanced proficiency in donor database management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications; Raiser's Edge experience highly valued
- Strong connections within New England communities and understanding of regional philanthropic landscape preferred
- Remote work with candidates based in the Greater Boston Area. Regional travel throughout New England for meetings and events on weekdays and some weekends.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This wonderful opportunity offers the ability to make a significant impact leading development initiatives for an established humanitarian organization committed to empowering and supporting communities. In addition to a competitive base salary of $95,000 to $125,000 (DOE), this incredible role provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) with employer matching; life insurance; disability insurance; FSA; paid holidays including Jewish and Federal holidays; sick days; vacation time; early dismissal for Shabbat; and many other perks!
