ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
IPC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Engagement Associate to join our Solar for All (SFA) team. This role will support the SFA program team—including program operations, outreach, and engagement efforts—while working closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment across external communications and campaign execution. The Program Engagement Associate will report to the SFA Program Director. The Program Associate will play a critical role in driving the daily operations of SFA-funded initiatives that expand access to clean, affordable solar energy serving low-income and disadvantaged communities.
As a core member of the SFA team, the Program Engagement Associate will focus on program coordination, documentation, and administrative operations while also supporting outreach logistics in collaboration with the marketing team. This includes tracking deliverables, managing partner communications, supporting events, and maintaining internal systems to ensure smooth program implementation.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and skilled at translating complex concepts into clear, accessible messages for varied audiences. They are comfortable managing multiple priorities and collaborating effectively across teams to advance IPC’s mission.
This position is dependent upon the continued receipt of funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Solar for All program. This position is designed as a remote role with potential travel to our Hartford, CT office and surrounding areas as required. This role requires the employee to currently reside in one of the specified states and agree to work within Eastern or Central time hours. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Program Support & Coordination
- Project Tracking & Follow-Up: Support the SFA program team by maintaining timelines, tracking deliverables, and following up with internal and external stakeholders.
- Meeting Support & Documentation: Coordinate meetings, support the preparation of agendas, take notes, and ensure timely distribution of action items.
- Platform Management: Update and maintain project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Salesforce, SharePoint) to reflect program activities and deadlines.
Administrative Operations
- File & Data Organization: Maintain organized program documentation including applications, contracts, and compliance materials.
- Internal Reporting: Assist with preparing internal status updates and impact tracking summaries for the SFA Program Director.
- Scheduling & Communication: Coordinate calendars and correspondences between coalition partners, vendors, and IPC team members.
Marketing & Outreach Support
- Event & Webinar Coordination: Support the marketing team with planning and facilitating outreach events, webinars, and partner briefings.
- Content & Asset Tracking: Assist with maintaining brand materials for the SFA program, including outreach collateral and shared media folders in alignment with SFA campaign needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner Engagement: Assist in organizing stakeholder meetings, tracking progress, and managing communication with community-based organizations and coalition members.
- Interdepartmental Support: Work with legal, compliance, and communications teams to ensure smooth coordination on SFA-related initiatives.
- Team Participation: Actively contribute to SFA team meetings, planning sessions, and continuous process improvement.
Inbox & Communication Management
- Inbox Management: Proactively manage multiple communications inboxes, including those related to the SFA program. This includes monitoring incoming messages, triaging requests, responding to inquiries, and routing messages to appropriate team members to ensure timely follow-up and strong customer service.
Special Projects & Strategic Support
- Marketing Metrics & Reporting: Support the marketing team in tracking and analyzing campaign performance to generate insights that inform future outreach strategies for the SFA program.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Assist with researching industry trends, policy shifts, and peer initiatives to help refine IPC’s marketing and programmatic approach.

Travel: Up to 10% travel required.
Conditions: This role requires a dedicated workspace equipped with a desk and chair, along with a reliable broadband connection of at least one 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds. The workspace should be quiet and distraction-free to ensure focus and productivity. As an organization that values live interaction and transparency, employees are expected to be on camera during meetings and collaborative sessions. The ability to remain seated and stationary for approximately 75% of the work time is necessary. Additionally, occasional travel may be required to support business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate will hold an associate’s degree (or equivalent undergraduate credits) in public administration, environmental science, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field; bachelor’s preferred. Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience in program coordination, project administration, or stakeholder engagement—preferably within clean energy, community development, or nonprofit settings.
Strong organizational and administrative skills are essential, including experience managing schedules, tracking deliverables, coordinating communications, and maintaining documentation. Familiarity with digital platforms such as Salesforce, Monday.com, Teams, and Microsoft Office is preferred. Experience supporting marketing or outreach efforts—including event coordination, content management, or vendor communications—is a plus.

- Marketing Analytics Awareness – General understanding of data-driven marketing principles with the ability to support campaign tracking, content performance reporting, and audience engagement summaries under guidance from the marketing team.
- Creative & Visual Design Understanding – Familiarity with basic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite to assist with formatting, editing, or adapting branded materials and visual content for program outreach.
- Inbox & Workflow Management – Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple inboxes and streamline communications across programs.
- Independent Initiative & Collaborative Problem-Solving – Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership of projects, think creatively, and adapt effectively within dynamic and evolving program environments.
