A global nonprofit is seeking a Temporary Senior Accountant to assist with account reconciliations in preparation for an upcoming audit. This short-term, fully remote role will work directly with senior leadership and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong reconciliation experience and comfort working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead complex reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and high-volume balance sheet accounts
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with GAAP
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries
Investigate and resolve discrepancies across general ledger accounts
Utilize NetSuite to perform reconciliations, run reports, and streamline data review
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure financial data integrity and improve processes
Provide audit support by preparing documentation and reconciliation schedules
Mentor junior accounting staff as needed and help document reconciliation procedures

Qualifications:

4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the nonprofit or international development sector
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Strong working knowledge of NetSuite or a similar ERP system
Advanced understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial close processes
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
