The Position:
The starting pay rate is $20.00

Available for Appointments:
- Weekdays, 12:00pm - 7:00pm
- Sundays, 10:00am - 3:00pm

Requirements:
- Certified personal trainer/instructor required.
- Certifications: Must have a Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification.
- Must be able to complete Y provided training such as YMCA Strength & Conditioning Instructor Certification, First Aid, and CPR/AED.
- At least one year of experience personal training preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Train assigned members in support of their desired behavior change. Regularly checks on members’ progress in meeting personal and program goals.
- Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational sessions. Instruct lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having/ following prepared plans accordingly.
- Conduct interviews to understand members’ definition of well-being, personal goals, cultural background, healthcare needs, diverse abilities and interests and develops plans to meet their individual needs.
- Answer questions from program participants and members to support them in achieving their goals related to health and well-being. Maintain working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; help members and program participants connect with each other and the YMCA. Identify and celebrate the successes of members and program participants.
- Observe and adjust approach to support all participants’ capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture. Creates a safe environment where all individuals feel welcomed and respected.
- Handle and resolve incidents and hazardous conditions and inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
