What You’ll Do
Use your recruiting skills to help people experiencing homelessness!
As a Recruiter with HELP USA, you’ll be part of a small team responsible for full-cycle recruiting for our homeless shelters and homelessness prevention programs throughout New York City. We’re restructuring our recruiting processes, and we’re looking for an energetic recruiter interested in playing a key role in change implementation. You’ll consult with Hiring Managers, identify and interview potential candidates, schedule and follow up Hiring Manager interviews, extend offers, and maintain candidate contact from offer acceptance through start date.
This is a remote position, requiring East Coast/EST working hours, with an occasional day in the office (post-COVID) if you live in the metro NYC area.

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:

Commitment to our mission of helping people experiencing homelessness.
Experience (at least a year, ideally more) with in-house, high-volume recruiting working primarily with non-exempt roles.
Experience using an ATS to thoroughly document position and candidate records so that all stakeholders are fully informed. (We use ClearCompany, but experience with any ATS is fine.)
Credibility and personal presence to build strong, trusting relationships with Hiring Managers and candidates.
Ability to take initiative, make decisions, handle multiple priorities concurrently, and follow up on details.

It would be helpful (but not required) if you have:

Experience working with a non-profit organization.
Bachelor’s Degree (But relevant work experience is a great alternative).
