Schedule/Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m. (28 hours per week)

This position is responsible for:

Providing receptionist duties for the food pantry and performing a variety of administrative and client support duties. The individual serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors and ensures accurate intake, referrals, and documentation in accordance with Salvation Army policies and local social service guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Greets and directs all visitors and clients courteously and professionally.
Answers the telephone and routes calls or takes messages as appropriate.
Receives and processes requests for food assistance and other emergency services, documenting all contacts.
Assists clients in completing required forms and obtaining necessary documentation.
Schedules client appointments and maintains daily appointment logs

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Duties are usually performed seated at a desk but may involve light physical activity.
Occasionally required to lift or carry objects up to 25 lbs. (5-10% of work time).

High school diploma or G.E.D. AND
Minimum one year of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or client service position OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
