Position: HR Assistant
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Purpose: We are looking for a part-time Human Resources Assistant for a temporary assignment. Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Assistant will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting, scheduling interviews, initial onboarding, general HR administration duties, process exit paperwork and enforcing company policies and practices.
Pay rage: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Duties/ Responsibilities:
Recruiting:
- Collaborate with department managers & Unit Directors to understand hiring needs.
- Create and maintain job posting on company preferred job boards.
- Applicant tracking and processing new hires through initial onboarding.
- Call references listed on the employment application.
- Draft offer letter & send to candidates.
- Obtain background check authorizations from new hires.
Onboarding:
- Schedule and conduct new hire onboarding.
- Ensure new staff are registered in the HRIS/payroll system and have their required shirts and badges.
- Maintain staff training tracker.
Offboarding/Terminating EEs:
- Process exit paperwork from
Benefits:
- Review and organize monthly health and ancillary benefit invoices for payment.
Compliance:
- Deliver new CA labor law posters & updated notices to each BGCHV location, make sure they are displayed correctly and remove old/outdated posters or notices.
Miscellaneous:
- Performs administrative tasks such as file maintenance, copying, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Process and annual renewal of business licenses for our centers in the City of Huntington Beach and City of Fountain Valley.
- Any duties as assigned for company operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field preferred.
2. Previous experience working as an HR or Admin Assistant or one year of successful experience in the related field.
3. Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
6. Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment.
7. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is essential.
8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
9. Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team.
