Project Manager – Community & Grant Services

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled, mission-aligned Project Manager to oversee and implement a diverse portfolio of grant-funded and community service initiatives. This role involves managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects—including energy efficiency, housing, public health, education, and workforce development programs—while ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with EHS’s values and funder requirements.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and skilled organizer with experience in nonprofit, government, or consulting environments. This person will lead internal teams, support subcontractors, and serve as a liaison to clients and funders to ensure seamless project execution from award through closeout.
Key Responsibilities Program & Contract Execution
- Translate contract scopes into actionable work plans, production schedules, and timelines.
- Manage lifecycles of multiple, concurrent projects (e.g., WAP, HeHE, LIHEAP, DOE, county-led grants).
- Track deliverables and oversee implementation across internal staff, consultants, and external partners.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality, compliance, and equity standards.
Budget and Financial Compliance
- Coordinate with finance team to align deliverables with payment schedules and reporting timelines.
- Prepare and review documentation required for client invoicing and reimbursement processes.
- Ensure projects are executed within budget, monitoring and adjusting as necessary.
Team & Stakeholder Coordination
- Facilitate team meetings, assign tasks, and ensure accountability across all workstreams.
- Onboard and supervise internal and external team members in accordance with EHS’s collaborative culture.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, funders, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure transparent, professional, and equity-aligned communications throughout.
Client Services & Community Engagement
- Oversee client intake processes, eligibility screening, and case management (when applicable).
- Provide technical assistance and ensure timely service delivery to community members and partners.
- Support culturally competent stakeholder engagement and participatory decision-making processes.
Compliance, Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate project documentation aligned with 2 CFR Part 200, SEFA, and funder-specific requirements.
- Conduct audits and quality assurance reviews of job files, invoices, and deliverables.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, reimbursement claims, and grant compliance documentation.
- Support audit readiness and participate in funder calls, presentations, or public meetings.
Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives
- Capture and document lessons learned and recommend process improvements.
- Develop SOPs, templates, and training tools for scalable project delivery.
- Provide support on cross-organizational priorities, including strategic funding pursuits and onboarding new clients.
Preferred Qualifications Experience & Knowledge
- 5+ years of relevant project management experience, preferably within nonprofit, government, or consulting sectors.
- Strong familiarity with grant-funded initiatives, especially energy, housing, health, or education.
- Experience managing deliverables for public agencies, local governments, or state/federal programs.
- Understanding of procurement, subcontractor oversight, and public funding requirements.
Skills & Tools
- Strong organizational, time management, and coordination skills across virtual teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (Smartsheet).
- Familiarity with compliance tools and CRMs (Salesforce, Hancock, OpenGov) is a plus.

Work Environment & Compensation
- Flexible hours remote work
- Pay: $35–$55/hour starting or commensurate salary, depending on experience and contract scope.- Contract-to-hire or full-time hire pathways available.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17,500.00 - $114,400.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
