The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) is seeking a creative, strategic, and results-driven Social Media Strategist to lead and evolve our brand’s social media presence across platforms. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing high-impact strategies, creating compelling content, managing paid and organic campaigns, and analyzing performance to increase engagement, grow brand awareness, and support organizational goals.
As the Social Media Strategist, you will:
Create—or oversee the creation of—original, engaging video and static graphic content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, BlueSky, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Manage and optimize both paid and organic campaigns, including influencer collaborations, product launches, and brand storytelling.
Monitor, measure, and report on social media performance, using data insights to inform and refine strategy.
You are a social media power user who combines creativity, strategy, and cultural awareness with a “can do” attitude and a deep understanding of how to engage and grow communities through social media.

4+ years of professional experience in social media strategy, content creation, or digital marketing—preferably in a nonprofit, mission-driven, or community-focused organization.
Strong familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or other native platform insights) and using data to inform strategy.
