Job Summary:
We're seeking a male Christian mentor to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of adolescent boys. As a Lead Mentor, you'll provide guidance, support, and spiritual leadership to help them navigate life's challenges and build a strong foundation in their faith.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of 15 boys in a classroom setting on Saturdays from 9:00am-2:00pm.
- Facilitate monthly one-on-one sessions with mentees.
- Provide spiritual guidance, support, and encouragement to help boys deepen their faith.
- Collaborate with our team to create a safe, nurturing environment.
Ideal Candidate:
- Committed Christian with a strong faith foundation.
- Experience mentoring male youth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to connect with and inspire young people.
Responsibilities:
As a Lead Mentor, you will:
- Build meaningful relationships with youth (ages 8-15) through regular meetings, activities, and events.
- Provide emotional support, guidance, and mentorship to help youth overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
- Encourage and support youth in their spiritual growth and development, deepening their faith and understanding of God's love.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and the director to ensure a holistic approach to supporting each youth.
- Plan and lead group activities, workshops, and outings promoting teamwork, leadership, and character development.
- Model Christian values and principles, demonstrating a strong commitment to faith and compassion.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with the Director.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized plans to address behavioral, emotional, or social challenges.
- Group academic session
- Integrate biblical teachings into everyday life and learning, providing a faith-based perspective.
Mandatory Training:
- Must be able to attend a mandatory 4 hour Training on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
- Must be able to attend the Parent Orientation on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Program Dates:
- 12-weeks program dates are June 28-August 16, 2025.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be a committed Christian with a strong faith foundation.
- Have 5+ years of experience working with youth, preferably in a mentoring or counseling role.
- Possess excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to build trust and rapport with youth and their families.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Pass a Level II background check.
Education:
- Associate Degree or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Youth Development, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.
