Summary/Objective
The Merchandiser position is responsible for providing merchandising responsibilities on the Retail Sales Floor, and for assisting in the custodial maintenance of facilities to ensure a neat and clean facility.
Essential Functions
· Place “Fresh” merchandise in staging area onto the sales floor appropriately.
o Utilize Z-racks to merchandise the clothing/soft lines and carts for hardlines/décor.
· Display merchandise effectively and attractively in windows and/or on displays.
· Categorize and size clothing and other textiles on the sales floor.
· Remove (Pulls) any out of date items including clothing from the display area as directed by the MOD.
· Maintain display area including special displays, racks, shelves, bins, and other displaying items for sale.
· Assist in Sales Floor Recovery (straightening) as needed and directed by the Manager on Duty (MOD).
· Clean fitting rooms, check-out counter, and maintain sales floor presentation daily.
o Dusting, sanitizing (wiping down), sweeping, mopping, and straightening.
o Re-merchandising misplaced items (soft/hard lines).
· Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude while projecting a favorable Goodwill Image.
· Treat customers, donors, co-workers, and clients with dignity and respect.
· Follow all Goodwill policies and procedures. Follow safety, cleaning, and merchandising rules and regulations.
· Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of the department.
· Other duties as assigned.
