PACE Accounting Manager

Salary: $113,700–$172,800 annually (depending on experience, education, and qualifications)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience in the healthcare industry
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience with PACE programs strongly preferred
Position Overview
A dynamic healthcare organization is seeking an experienced PACE Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting and analysis for its Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Reporting to the PACE Finance Director, this individual will oversee financial operations, budgeting, audits, and enrollment reporting while managing a high-performing, primarily remote team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly PACE financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Develop and maintain performance metrics and financial analysis tools specific to PACE operations
- Lead the completion of annual Medicare Part D Bids and Medi-Cal Rate Development Templates (RDT)
- Serve as the primary contact for financial reporting to external agencies, including DHCS, CMS, and NPA
- Assist with the development and management of the annual PACE budget, including revenue, expenses, staffing, and enrollment forecasting
- Oversee audit documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Review and approve biweekly payment batches and invoices; verify coding and participant counts
- Manage the participant enrollment and disenrollment process with CMS and DHCS
- Collaborate closely with the PACE billing team and support system and process improvements
- Oversee accounting for the 340B contract pharmacy program
- Lead and mentor the PACE Accounting and Enrollment Team; conduct regular team meetings
- Maintain strong communication and accountability within a mostly remote team
- Ensure department operations adhere to confidentiality and professional standards
