Make a Difference Every Day

As a Front Desk Clerk, you'll be the welcoming face of BGCLAH, creating positive first impressions and meaningful connections with youth, families, and visitors every day.

You'll serve as the hub of activity, managing member registration, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring every person who walks through our doors feels valued and supported. From greeting new families to maintaining essential records, your work helps create a safe, organized environment where young people can thrive.

What You’ll Do

Welcome and register members, creating a positive first impression for all visitors
Manage member check-ins, maintain accurate records, and ensure safety protocols
Answer phones and provide information about club programs and activities
Coordinate bus service logistics and support daily operations
Handle data entry and generate reports to support program effectiveness
Assist with special events and emergency situations as needed
Maintain organized, welcoming front desk area

What You Bring

High school diploma required; college experience preferred
1+ year of customer service and clerical experience
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Typing skills of at least 40 WPM
Strong communication and organizational abilities
Passion for working with youth and supporting community programs Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Must complete all pre-employment clearances (see below)

Pre-Employment Requirements

All candidates must complete:

Background check (including criminal history)
TB test
Drug & alcohol screening
I-9 verification with original documents required

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Onsite at designated work location (standalone Clubhouse or school site) involving indoor and outdoor activities
Ability to push/pull, squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
This role requires the ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 3 consecutive hours
Ability to project voice with sufficient volume to be heard while addressing groups
Sufficient visual acuity to read printed materials, observe youth in a group setting, and ensure a safe and engaging environment
