Day Habilitation Direct Support Professional / DSP

A Day Habilitation Direct Support Professional position offers:

· Between $19-$22/Hour based on experience and education

· $1000 sign-on bonus for full-time positions and $500 sign - on bonus for part - time paid upon 1 year anniversary.

· An attractive schedule that fits your life. Our program runs Monday- Friday 8am- 4pm

· Work close to where you live in the Hudson Valley region (Westchester County - position requires driving individuals to different program sites between Westchester/ Dutchess/ Putnam Counties)

Day Habilitation Direct Support Professional Job Description:

· Play an integral role in the lives of the people we support by providing direct assistance in the community.

· Community Based Services is a non-profit organization providing supports to people in the Hudson Valley region since 1981.

Day Habilitation Direct Support Professional – Duties and Responsibilities:

· Tasks include engaging and providing supports to individuals in our program

· Enabling the greatest level of independence possible

· Providing habilitative services to individuals in the community to foster community inclusion and relationship building.

· Engage participation in recreation, social, and skill-building activities as appropriate.

· Complete documentation electronically as required.

Day Habilitation Direct Support Professional Qualifications/Skills:

· HS/GED

· Valid driver’s license

· Prior experience working with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.

· Effective oral and written skills in English.

· Must work positively within a team environment and be able to work independently.'
